‘Dumped’ is a fun series of portraits by Meg Wachter that captures people’s expressions at the exact moment a food or liquid was ‘dumped’ over their heads. I have seen the pictures before but not the video. Watching in motion is also fantastic because it shows how genuine their reactions are. You can watch the entire process: the wait for the dumping and their reactions to it, whether it is shock, disgust or delight, each resulting frame is amazing because they are real and all of them are truly having a good time. Ross McBride makes clever designs for clocks.Using old school red LED’s he created the ‘Digital Dali’ inspired by Dali’s Persistence of Memory melting clocks and the ‘Sinking Clock’, as the photo shows, cropped off on one corner so when placed on any flat surface it looks like it’s sinking. Both pieces emphasize the ‘running out of time’ feeling quite effectively.

‘Dust’ is a collection of handmade wood furniture by craftsman Vincent Thomas Leman. Whimsical and beautiful, the line of unsual shaped, bright colored, fun looking, warped bookshelves, cabinets and end tables look like they were taken straight out of the distorted worlds of Alice in Wonderland or from the Doctor Seuss universe.
